We Asha Girls had a fantastic time out on the town in Phoenix tonight. We got to deliver about 50 gift bags to girls in about 4 clubs. It is such a blessing to be able to bring a little ray of happiness to these gals on a Friday night. Who can turn down free gift bags with girly stuff in them (cosmetics, jewelry, chocolate, etc...)? Because we have friends who used to be in the industry, we understand that encouragement and just showing up to say we care goes a long way. And we do care. So here's to a great night out and we hope the 50 girls that got those bags will smile and enjoy a little something to pamper them a bit tonight. Looking forward to heading out next month as well!

Encouragement for us all...
Do you know
do you understand
that you represent Jesus to me?
Do you know
do you understand
that when you treat me with gentleness,
it raises the question in my mind
that maybe He is gentle, too.
Maybe he isn't someone
who laughs when I am hurt.
Do you know
do you understand
that when you listen to my questions
and you don't laugh,
I think, "What if Jesus is interested in me, too?"
Do you know
do you understand
that when I hear you talk about arguments
and conflict and scars from your past,
I think, " Maybe I am just a regular person
instead of a bad, no good little girl
who deserves abuse."
If you care,
I think maybe He cares -
and then there's this flame of hope
that burns inside of me
and for awhile I am afraid to breathe
because it might go out.

that your words are His words?
Your face is His face
to someone like me?
Please, be who you say you are.
Please, God, don't let this be another trick.
Please let this be real.
Please!
